Congratulations Tracie and Jon

Well, they're finally done and uploaded, so now I can share some of the photos. Tracie & Jon were married in Cape Coral. What a fun couple they were. Despite some minor setbacks with the bridal party (namely one of the ushers spent the night in the hospital due to an untimely fall), but a long night and 17 stitches later, the wedding happened.

Tracie took our advice and added some extra candles on the altar. It made for some really nice star effects and added some pizzaz to the ceremony shots.

The reception was at Cape Harbor, which was a great place for photos. There was a slight mist, but no real problems with rain...a risk you take with a Florida wedding this time of year.

Today I get to present Tracie with a little gift...something we've just decided to include for our couples. We've uploaded all of their photos to a new iPod Touch. They are the coolest little gadgets, and a great presentation. I just love the way they light up the photos...so much better than printed materials. The iPod is also engraved with their names! How cool is that?!

Unfortunately I don't have the tools to be able to include this video on the iPod, but I put together a short slideshow of some of Tracie & Jon's pictures.

Home Again

We made it home last night from the Atlanta workshop, and were up early again hoping to get some things posted. I have some absolute favorites, and some that I would like to do some post-production work to, so there will be more posting to come. I wanted to hare an image of each of the five fantastic models who gave of their time for our benefit. Many thanks to each of you for your patience. You were all awesome!

It's good to be home, but we are so excited about what we've done this past weekend that we can hardly sit still.

The Beginning

Well, I couldn't sleep last night. At midnight we decided that we were going to start a blog, and most of the night I spent tossing and turning trying to figure out where to begin. Well, the best place would be "What's happening now"! So here it is.

Jim and I are in Atlanta at a highly anticipated lighting workshop presented by Phoenix based photographer Don Giannatti. We are both thrilled to be here, loving Atlanta and inspired to come home, renewed and refreshed with lots of new ideas. The workshop has been amazing. Don is a fantastic mentor. The models yesterday were beautiful and easy to work with. And the other participants are really great fun.

I'm limited on time this morning, but I am looking forward to posting a couple of the shots we took later today or tomorrow.
